Starting on the Ist June 2005 launch day, Kendal Police Division officers were the first to ride the route for
charity, in this case raising money for the South Cumbria Air Ambulance. They were welcomed to
Sunderland by the Mayor of Sunderland on Friday 3rd June 2005.
